Rail Car Services Our Location or Yours Action Environmental operates a rail facility located in west central Alabama, in close proximity to a major RCRA part B landfill. This facility is served by the Alabama Gulf Coast Railway (AGR). The Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway operates over 348 miles of owned and leased tracks from Pensacola, FL export terminals north to Columbus, MS and from Mobile, AL north to Kimbrough, AL. The AGR interchanges with BNSF, CAGY, CN, CSXT, GTRA, KCS, MNBR, NS, and TASD. If your need does not allow for the rail transit times to Boligee, Action Environmental has 10 field locations located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas and can mobilize to your location or the location of your rail car. Our branches have an array of specialized transportation equipment such as high rail vacuum trucks, vacuum trucks, liquid vacuum trucks, roll off and vacuum boxes as well as trailers outfitted with the appropriate safety equipment and tools to conduct tank and rail car cleaning and transfer operations. Rail Car Cleaning Action Environmental has cleaned hundreds of rail cars, typically containing crude oil, ethanol, coal tar residues or agricultural products. We have transferred thousands of tons of RCRA and TSCA waste as part of large remediation activities. Our location is staffed with environmental professionals who have all the permits and certifications, monitors, confined space equipment and safety lines to do this work. Our crews are equipped with the PPE necessary for confined space entry, including respirators, goggles and chemical protective clothing, as appropriate for the contents of the car being cleaned. If you are faced with one rail car or a fleet of rail cars that are nearing the end of their lease, requiring cleaning prior to an inspection or are considering a product change out Action Environmental will work with you to develop a solution that meets your need and timeline. Rail Car Transfer Our experience handling large remediation projects gives us the experience and understanding to support your project in a logistical support role. Action has a fleet of several hundred tractors and end dumps and will bring the appropriate resources to the job to ensure your materials are transferred in safe, compliant and expeditious manner. You benefit from demurrage avoidance and excess cars assigned to the project. For smaller projects, such as an overloaded car that needs the volume reduced, it is likely that we will have an office nearby that can assist you with this. Roadway Worker Protection Training Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), Roadway Worker Protection, 49 Code of Regulation (CFR), Part 214, including, without limitations, the training and qualification requirements, and with the FRAs On-Track Safety Program. Action Environmental employees conducting rail services have been trained to comply with FRAs rule regarding Roadway Worker protection and will also comply with any revisions to Railroads On-Track Worker Safety Program.
