Steve Johnson serves as Chief Operating Officer for Action.


Steve joined the Action Team as a Regional Manager for Action Resources in2016 and was promoted to President and General Manager in 2017. After successfully restoring business performance and building a strong leadership team, he accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer for Action in 2019.


Steve has 17 years of progressive responsible experience driving change and growth in the transportation industry by adding value through business and people development. His focus is leadership, behavioral, change management, and strives to create an initiative in the workforce. Steve also serves on the AlabamaTrucking Association Board of Directors.


Prior to joining Action, Steve spent thirteen years with a Regional PetroleumTransporter including 10 years in the General Manager role where he led a successful controlled growth plan while having full responsibilities for operations, finances, staff development, process improvements, safety, &customer relations.


Prior to transportation, Steve received his Bachelors of Science from Northern Arizona University and his Masters of Science from the University of Oregon. Steve began his career developing his leadership and interpersonal skills in the Collegiate Athletics arena acting as an Athletic Trainer for Oregon State University supporting and serving the university and its students. Steve is a principle-based leader with exceptional operational, sales, and general management expertise.
